Sole Swap Archives
Sole swaps are a way to restore classic sneakers back to wearable condition by deconstructing the sneakers and reattaching a new sole.
This can be done in two ways - the first is to put an entirely new outsole on the sneaker of choice, which has to be sourced from a donor shoe (a pair you are willing to sacrifice for their soles). The other way is to re-use the original outsoles and only replace the foam soles inside of them. This is common practice on a lot of Air Forces, as the foam soles have a relatively short lifespan and eventually crumble, rendering the shoe unsafe to wear. You can learn more about foam soles here.
